So I’m going to a house party tonight…
…and whilst I dig that, I always get super bummed at the same time ‘cause my friends that generally host these parties are not into good music AT ALL. It’s either… shit pop/dance/techno stuff, or someone’s ripped their dads average-ass ancient collection of “classic rock” (see: soft rock) to their computer and added in a few “choice cuts” from the 90’s (Tubthumping, , Lullaby, The Impression That I Get, Other songs that make you want to kill yourself) for good measure. AND, AND, AND, when, heaven forbid, a song by someone you actually want to listen to comes on (Springsteen, Morrison, Stones) THEY FUCKING SKIP IT?!
I just want to go to a party with dudes who like good songs so we can sing them together, Tumblr.
…Or for my friends to get a fucking clue.
Fuck it, I’m throwing “Tim” in the CD player. That way when I’m buzzing tonight I can have a solo-singalong to “Hold My Life” whilst my friends scream out the words to “In The End” for the 7000th time.

When I think about the new Best Coast album I get depressed and I never want to listen to it again.

If this album is anywhere near as good as his last one, I’ma be stoked.
